Photo Every Day #44

Today we had our kitchen refitted. It looks so much nicer and has given us much more storage space, we still don't have a lot of worktop shop which is a shame as it makes the room look smaller. However, our fridge is now neatly tucked away and people can actually sit around the table without it being a complete squash.

Put Your Paws In The Air:

Song Of The Day: Clea - Download It
Reason: I was watching one of the music channels which was playing an 'omg I remember this song' type programme and this was on it. I think it's a shame they never really went anywhere.

Highlight Of The Day: Finally getting my kitchen and bedroom furniture sorted.

Inspiration Of The Day: Kim Kardashian's Instagram photos of all her braided hair styles. They look so nice I may have to have a go myself!

Photo Every Day #29

Today I have been decoration the reception area at work with pink balloons in order to promote Valentine's Day. I think it looks ok since I literally had only balloons to use; no string, helium or heart shaped anythings. I've been wearing one of my new Xmas perfumes a lot at the moment. It's called Kate by Kate Moss. Not normally a person who's scent I'd be rushing to smell, but it's actually really nice and quite refreshing as we start heading towards spring.

Kate:

Song Of The Day: Slipknot - Duality
Reason: First Slipknot song I ever loved.

Highlight Of The Day: A good chunk of the snag list for our house getting worked on. Just all the faffing about with the kitchen to go...

Inspiration Of The Day: Poms Not Bombs!

Photo Every Day #11

Today the heating/electrics have broken. It's getting way beyond a joke now. So I'm wearing the boy's Santa onesie cos I can't find mine.

Onesie Feet:

Song Of The Day: Pinhead Gunpowder - Letter From AOF
Reason: Just love this album and band. Fun record.

Highlight Of The Day: Getting the kitties a litter box with a hood. Way less mess.

Inspiration Of The Day: We tuned in to Rage Of The Yeti (spoilers in the article on the link) when it was half way through, but it wasn't too hard to follow to be fair. It's one of those super cheap, low budget films but I find them more entertaining than blockbusters that millions are spent on. It was good fun to watch and laughable. I think that the best  way to go about viewing this kind of film is to not take it seriously and just enjoy it for what it is.

So after some measuring up of our kitchen that was fitted wrongly we have discovered that the kitchen units that were ordered are actually correct. In fact, it's the entire kitchen as a room that has been build smaller than stated on the plan. There aren't enough words with similar meaning to the word 'idiot' as I need right now. However, trying to focus on the positives, me and my Dad built our new dining table. It's really nice but everything is a bit of a squash since the fridge is just chilling in the wrong place due to the fact it won't fit in it's designated area thanks to someone's stupid fuck up. Once we're all sorted it will be nice to have people round to eat at it.

Come Dine With Me:

Song Of The Day: Santana Featuring Rob Thomas - Smooth
Reason: Fab song, love the 90s outfits all the girls are wearing in the video and love Rob Thomas in a cowboy hat!

Highlight Of The Day: Getting our bins! Sounds like a daft thing, but we can finally clear some of the rubbish out of the way!

Inspiration Of The Day: Failbook. Freaking hilarious.

Today has been a day of many dead ends in a way. We're trying to get things moving with the house but nothing seems to have actually made any progress. I'm in a fed up mood and have two big itchy bites, one on my arm and the other on my hand. I have no idea where they've come from but I'm hoping more don't appear.

Kitten:

Song Of The Day: Foo Fighters - The Pretender
Reason: Reminds me of second year at uni.

Highlight Of The Day: Getting a new really soft, snuggly throw.

Inspiration Of The Day: Marilyn Manson's music videos. Granted I've not seen every single one or anything, but the ones for his most famous/popular songs are pure beauty for my eyes. I'm hugely into the beautiful and macabre side of things; I just want to live in his video worlds!

Today we took Draco to the vets for his last kitten jab, he was very good but kept wanting to explore the room rather than stay on the table. We also had a designer from John Lewis come round to try and give us some more ideas on how to fit wardrobes and/or storage space into the bedroom. He was a really nice guy with some great ideas, far better than others we've seen who just gave us the most simple option. I still want to stick to my 'French Noir' theme though. I want it to look luxurious and elegant without looking cluttered or too over the top.

The Many Positions Of A Sleeping Kitty:

Song Of The Day: New Found Glory: My Friends Over You
Reason: Nice bouncy song by a band than do bouncy songs to perfection.

Highlight Of The Day: Seeing Pixie and Draco in the same room getting to know each other.

Inspiration Of The Day: I've been looking at lots of French noir styles of furniture and this is the sort of look I want to go for!

Photo Every Day #363

This evening has consisted of random drives, colonel food, popcorn, Audition and lounging about. My Dad also came round to put up our curtain pole so we finally have a bit of privacy!

Song Of The Day: Slipknot - Vermillion
Reason: Amazing song by my favourite band.

Highlight Of The Day: Realising that Asami is the name of the lead character in Audition! Knew I liked it for a reason!

Photo Every Day #361

Today we made some more furniture purchases! We've chosen our fitted bedroom, bought some curtains for the front room and also bought a long cabinet for the bathroom. I think once our sofas, dining table and fitted wardrobes all turn up it will feel more like our home as at the moment it still feels as though we're in the flat; our stuff is here but our mark isn't on it. We bought a butcher's table for the kitchen a couple of days ago, which I've wanted for ages! It gives us extra space too which is great as in this kitchen it's all about making the most of the space! It does look a lot bigger now I've cleared most of the boxes though.

Butcher's Table:

Song Of The Day: Metallica - One
Reason: One of my favourite videos of all time.

Highlight Of The Day: Furniture shopping with the boy!

Photo Every Day #359

So it's Xmas eve and our first Xmas in the house. We have the front room sorted for now, minus curtains, so were ready to go! We had the annual Xmas eve drinks at Cape which always symbolises the start of Xmas.

Song Of The Day: The Snowman - We're Walking In The Air
Reason: I know it's sing by someone called Aled something but I only think its a great song when accompanied by the film visuals.

Highlight Of The Day: Xmas eve drinks

Photo Every Day #358

We're getting very close to Xmas now! I'm looking forward to just having the day off more than anything! I've been unpacking tonight so slowly things are starting to take shape! At least until we buy more furniture.

Song Of The Day: Swedish House Mafia vs Knife Party - Antidote
Reason: Amazing song!

Highlight Of The Day: Getting stuff unpacked

Photo Every Day #356

Today we fully moved into our new house! It's really nice and it's starting to sink in that its really ours. Kitties are having a good explore and seem to like it. They've found their tower and mastered the stairs so they're happy enough.

Song Of The Day: Marina & The Diamonds - Bubblegum Bitch
Reason: This album is still on my 'to listened to properly' album list.

Highlight Of The Day: A successful moving in day

Photo Every Day #354

Today we got the keys to our new house!! It's strange to think that tomorrow we'll be starting to move all our stuff in there. We're officially moving in on Friday, as that will be our first night there as all the main furniture will be in and the pets will all have moved in too. Photos of the house to come on Friday when I have chance to take photos in the day light.

Home Box:

Song Of The Day: Nicki Minaj - Starships
Reason: Really love the video for this and really love her outfits!

Highlight Of The Day: Getting the keys and having a proper look round.

Photo Every Day #353

Today has been about working and packing mainly. We also managed to blag our way into our new house! The builders were rather confused but we had a quick look around which has made it seem more real. Only 2 sleeps to go before we get the keys!

Boxes Everywhere:

Song Of The Day: Avril Lavigne - Slipped Away
Reason: My favourite song at the moment, so sad and heartfelt.

Highlight Of The Day: Getting a sneak peek into our new house

Photo Every Day #350

Today has consisted of more packing! We're slowly starting to look like we live in a box fort. Whilst packing the boy came across a hepatitis b biohazard package, with nothing it in thankfully, belonging to the previous tenants. Really random and kind of too much information. Tomorrow is the works night out which I'm looking forward to. I think I have my outfit planned but there's still time for a last minute change of heart!

Biohazard:

Song Of The Day: Alexandra Burke - Elephant
Reason: Really like this song, quite catchy

Highlight Of The Day: Looking round Ikea for furniture

Photo Every Day #347

Today I found out the film shoot on Thursday has had to be rescheduled due to the weather. I'm gutted! But it will be shot in January instead so all is not lost. So tomorrow I intend on making a good start on packing up ready for the move! Only 8 days to go!

Fridge Raider:

Song Of The Day: Will.I.Am Featuring J.Lo and Mick Jagger - T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever)
Reason: Such a good song! Came on in work today and had to stop myself from dancing.

Highlight Of The Day: Ordering our xmas cards!

Photo Every Day #342

Today has been a super long day for no apparent reason. One of the girls from work also left today which is gutting. I'm happy that she's got a new job but sad that we're losing a valuable member of our team. We have our first (and only) xmas decoration up too!

Wreath:

Song Of The Day: Limp Bizkit - My Generation
Reason: Old school classic

Highlight Of The Day: Cuddles with kitties, who will now sit together! Can't wait to sit on my new cuddle chair with them in the new house!

Photo Every Day #339

Today my Mum ordered us our new dining table! We're slowly starting to have most of the stuff we want and need for the house, which is good. Most of it's being delivered straight to the house too so that's useful. I really hope our sofas don't quite take the full 8 weeks though. Only 16 days until we get the keys!!!

Come Dine With Me:

Song Of The Day: Corey Taylor - Wicked Game
Reason: Possibly the most beautiful song in the world, this is my favourite rendition.

Highlight Of The Day: Coming back to a relatively tidy flat!

Photo Every Day #338

Today we bought a washer-dryer from Comet and our sofas from DFS! We chose a model up from the washer-dryer that we have in the flat (which isn't ours) and saved £150! For our sofas, we chose a 4 seater Nikkita and the matching cuddle sofa. The cuddle sofa is just a huge chair basically and I can't wait to get it! We chose a nice charcoal grey colour and it has chrome legs, so it's comfy yet doesn't take up too much space. Today is also the first time we've caught the kittens sleeping so close together too!

Sleeping Siblings:

Song Of The Day: The entire Songs For The Deaf album by Queens Of The Stone Age
Reason: I love this album as a whole. The songs are in perfect order and I love the radio style filler.

Highlight Of The Day: Buying house things!

Photo Every Day #337

Today I don't feel ill anymore! Yay! I am still extremely tired though. I'm only doing a short shift tomorrow and don't start until 1pm so hopefully I'll have some time to relax in the morning and have a bit of a lie in. We've finally got a completion date on the buying of the house, so this week we're signing more documents and finally handing over the remainder of the money to make it officially ours! We're also going to go scrounging for bargains at Comet since it's fallen on bad times and is closing down. For now though, I'm just having Draco cuddles.

Watching Tv With My Buddy:

Song Of The Day: Olly Murs - Trouble Maker
Reason: Get in my bed, mmmm!

Highlight Of The Day: Being awake the entire day! Albeit not entirely with it....

Photo Every Day #315

Today's PED is of my new favourite drink! Fudge flavour hot chocolate!! It's amazing!! Good old Cadbury's.

Cadbury's Fudge Hot Chocolate:

Song Of The Day: Psy - Gangnam Style
Reason: Just saw his live performance on The Jonathan Ross Show and it was awesome! Cracking tune!

Highlight Of The Day: Having a bit of a relax whilst online furniture shopping
