Photo Every Day #266

Today has been a nice day off followed by an eventful evening! We had a huge lie in, then took the boy's sister to the Trafford Centre for Frankie & Bennys, then finished off with a visit to my Dads. After finishing off my college work however it got to the eventful part. I lent over to stroke Stark and he jumped and bit me in the face. I think he was being possessive over his bone but its really u like him. He's taken a little chunk out from under my lip and I've got teeth marks and scrapes on my right cheek but its really nothing bad. I did have to go to a&e for a tetanus shot as I think my other one is due to run out soon. At least I'm covered next time I get a bite or scratch!

Before I Got Mauled:

Highlight Of The Day: A nice super long lie in!

Song Of The Day: Frankie & Bennys soundtrack

Reason: Classic listening that really sets the tone

Inspiration Of The Day: Hats! I'm determined to find one that suits me!

Photo Every Day #197

Today we went to a BBQ at my Mum's house. Stark was very good and he seems to enjoy being around different people. I've also chosen the paint for the main bathroom, it's called soft steel so I'm hoping it looks nice!

Soft Steel:

Song Of The Day: Demi Lovato - Heart Attack

Reason: Very catchy but still not my favourite song.

Highlight Of The Day: The BBQ.

Inspiration Of The Day: Newly single friends. Girl power.

Today we had a family BBQ at my Mums. She always puts on a good spread so I'm still stuffed! I've also made my lunch for work tomorrow. I'm starting to try to eat a bit more healthily and to save money instead of buying it all the time, so I have lots of nice salad leftover from the BBQ to take with me. As it was so hot I decided to go for a floaty black skirt with a short front hem and a low back hem, with a black vest top covered by my vintage Hawaiian shirt. It's nice to not by wearing my uniform for a change!

Song Of The Day: Lana Del Rey - Mermaid Motel

Reason: My favourite Lana song of the moment.

Highlight Of The Day: Nice food and enjoying the nice weather with family.

Inspiration Of The Day: Lana Del Rey style nails!

Photo Every Day #180

Today was another day where nothing particularly exciting happened. I did have a nice chat about our futures with a friend in work though, so it's given me some more things to think about. Stark's new favourite treat at the moment appears to be jam tarts. He seems to sniff them out from across the room! He's only allowed tiny tastes though, so as not to ruin his super healthy diet!

Song Of The Day: Limp Bizkit - Rollin'

Reason: Tune!

Highlight Of The Day: Walking Stark with my Dad.

Inspiration Of The Day: Egg warmers! Look them up on Etsy! Amazing!

Photo Every Day #164

Wishing my Dad a happy Fathers Day today! Even Draco wanted to give him some attention!

Song Of The Day: Open Hand - Tough Girl

Reason: Reminds me of the summer and playing it in my bedroom when I was a teen.

Highlight Of The Day: Having tea with my Dad.

Inspiration Of The Day: The TV series 1,000 Ways To Die. Inspiring others not to be idiotic.

Photo Every Day #153

Today I went to the dentist for an appointment about my toothache. I'm to go back next Friday to have a repair to a filling done and hopefully it should be all sorted. I'm glad it's only repair work cos I'm not a huge fan of the dentist and didn't want anything complicated done. We also had a nice walk and a pub tea with my Dad so we made the most of the sunshine.

Not Asleep Puppy At Bedtime:

Song Of The Day: Robin Thicke Featuring TI and Pharrell Williams - Blurred Lines

Reason: I could take or leave this song, but it is catchy.

Highlight Of The Day: Finding out that I wouldn't be needing tons of dental work done! Just a simple repair; such a relief.

Inspiration Of The Day: Reasons Cats Make The Best Alarm Clocks.

Photo Every Day #150

Today was an average Sunday at work. After work my friend came round with her daughter and new baby. They're all so adorable! I loved the baby but am definitely not ready for one yet. My friend is a great Mum and person so I do aspire to be like her. The boy's sister came round afterwards so it's been a nice evening of girly chats.

Song Of The Day: Combichrist - Get Your Body Beat

Reason: Such a get-up-and-dance song.

Highlight Of The Day: Seeing people I care about and a new little face.

Inspiration Of The Day: My lovely friend. She's a prime example of the kind of person I'd like to be seen as by others.

Photo Every Day #147

Today we went to Lymm Dam to walk the dogs again and we saw this carving on a tree. We walk past it every time we go so it must have appeared in the last few days. It sort of looks like its been shot in one eye. Strange.

Song Of The Day: One Direction - Live Whilst We're Young

Reason: I think 1D are a bit of fun. If only I was a teenage girl!

Highlight Of The Day: A nice tea of stir fry with oyster sauce at my Dads.

Inspiration Of The Day: I've been watching the MTV series Buckwild and I'd love to go and live in the rural areas of America. I enjoy being outdoors and its just so different to the UK.

Photo Every Day #143

Today I worked and then went to help with a bit of cleaning at the boy's Mum's house. We followed it up with a nice KFC which was a good end to a pretty ok day.

Princess Pixie:

Song Of The Day: Oasis - Stop Crying Your Heart Out
Reason: One of my favourite songs.

Highlight Of The Day: KFC with the in-laws.

Inspiration Of The Day: I've been hearing a lot about 3D printing and it looks pretty cool! This dress worn by Dita Von Teese is beautiful!

Photo Every Day #142

Today was a busy day in the sunshine. We took Pixie for coffee and cake in the morning, walk with Stark in Delamere Forest, then pub tea with my Dad. Feels like its been a long day but an enjoyable one.

Coffee & Cake For One:

Song Of The Day: Iggy Azaela - Work

Reason: Super catchy, would be interested in hearing what she comes out with next.

Highlight Of The Day: Spending time with Stark and Pixie.

Inspiration Of The Day: Game Of Thrones, all of the episodes are like mini movies. Stunning.

Photo Every Day #116

Today we gave the aquatic area in work an extra special clean. Even though I sound biased because I work there, it really is one of the nicest aquatic sections I've seen in a pet shop; good sized tanks, healthy fish, no overcrowding and nice and clean!

Fish Tanks:

Song Of The Day: Coldplay - Trouble
Reason: Randomly stuck in my head!

Highlight Of The Day: A really nice pub tea with my Dad and his girlfriend.

Inspiration Of The Day: Laughter is the key to a 'placid' life!

Photo Every Day #109

Today was a bit of a long day. We were invited for tea at my Dad's which was nice though, even Stark got invited! He did disgrace himself by doing 3 wees and a poop on his carpet though! He loved playing with my Dad and was nice and tired when we got him home!

Song Of The Day: David Bowie - Sorrow
Reason: Been trying to listen to more of his stuff as I quite enjoy his music.

Highlight Of The Day: Having a nice home cooked meal.

Inspiration Of The Day: The furminator, it's a product we sell at work that removes loose pet hair from their coats, I so need one!!

Photo Every Day #74

Today I've been wearing my new coat that my Mum bought me from M&S. It's surprisingly warm considering it's a fashion coat. It's a light, light pink colour which I actually quite like too.

Quilted:

Song Of The Day: Uberbyte - If Something Gets Hard (Fuck It)

Reason: Such a great song! Love the double meaning!

Highlight Of The Day: Finishing work for 2 weeks!

Inspiration Of The Day: Nicki Minaj's advice to women.

Photo Every Day #64

Draco was asleep on our bed, all curled up. So I took a photo, forgot I had the flash on and this is what occurred! Very strange.

The Blue Cat:

Song Of The Day: Carly Rae Jepson - Call Me Maybe
Reason: Just been stuck in my head! Maybe they played it in work.

Highlight Of The Day: Going out for coffee with some friends, Pixie and my Step Dad.

Inspiration Of The Day: Having female role models who's experiences you can learn from.

Photo Every Day #54

This evening I have been Pinterest-ing and doing a bit of photo editing. We had my Dad over for tea, which was nice, then the boy went to bed early leaving me to my artistic hour! I'm so obsessed with Pinterest at the moment. I'm using it to look for ideas for decorating my new house since I have a blank canvas; the main reason I wanted a brand new build. There's some amazing inspiration for anything you could think of! Lovely! I've also edited some photos from our third trip to the abandoned airfield. It was a nice day so we were able to get some good shots. I think I've come out with my best ever photo too! The lighting was just stunning in the toilets inside the lab building so it's created a shot I'm super happy with.

Horror Movie Bathroom:

Song Of The Day: Lana Del Rey - Riding In Cars With Boys
Reason: I wish I had the life she sings about.

Highlight Of The Day: Editing my masterpiece!

Inspiration Of The Day: Gothic interior photos on pinterest.

Photo Every Day #14

Today I seemed to do a lot but don't seem to have a lot to show for it. This afternoon we went to Ikea to pick up some legs for our bathroom cabinet (and to have hotdogs), called at the pet shop to look at some fish that I want, went to the Butterfly Chinese Restaurant in Stockton Heath for tea, called at Toys R Us to get some sea monkeys, popped into Next to pick up a gift and then called in to see my Mum at work! But all I have to show for my day are some cabinet legs, a rail and my sea monkey kit!

Hotdog:

Song Of The Day: Avril Lavigne - Fall To Pieces
Reason: One of the ultimate broken heart songs

Highlight Of The Day: A nice meal out.

Inspiration Of The Day: Tropical Fish! In particular the strange looking ones. The uglier the better. I really want to be able to go scuba diving somewhere with lots of fish and sea creatures in the near future.

Photo Every Day #3

Today has been long, mainly as I've had a bizarre neck ache all evening. I think it was just a little stiffness from repeatedly doing the same motion whilst at work looking at information and typing it in as it seems to have worn off now. In other news, tomorrow is Fajita Friday with one of my longest serving friends, which I'm looking forward to. I'm also looking forward to having no overtime at job #1 next week and having a bit of time to catch up on my to-do list. Today's PED is of some Alice In Wonderland magnets I got for xmas, I actually thought it was a mirror but was pleased to find they were magnets as it probably would have ended up broken and battered being in my handbag.

Wonderland Friends:

Song Of The Day: Robbie Williams - Candy
Reason: Ridiculously catchy; once you've heard it once, you hear it all day.

Highlight Of The Day: Seeing how friendly Draco is. He jumped up on my Mum and instantly made himself at home when she popped in.

Inspiration Of The Day: This super interesting article; Clearing Clutter - Part 1 - Understanding How Clutter Affects You - Whether You Realise it Or Not. It provides a great insight on how junk and rubbish in the house can affect you on a daily basis with big consequences.

Photo Every Day #363

This evening has consisted of random drives, colonel food, popcorn, Audition and lounging about. My Dad also came round to put up our curtain pole so we finally have a bit of privacy!

Song Of The Day: Slipknot - Vermillion
Reason: Amazing song by my favourite band.

Highlight Of The Day: Realising that Asami is the name of the lead character in Audition! Knew I liked it for a reason!

Photo Every Day #362

The last couple of days have been chocolate-fests! I think I've eaten nearly every kind of popular xmas chocolate sold! I'm surprised I can still move!

Chocolates Galore:

Song Of The Day: Alanis Morissette - Not As We
Reason: Beautiful song, would really love to go and see her live.

Highlight Of The Day: Going to my Aunty's house for our traditional day-after-boxing-day buffet. Best pie ever!

Photo Every Day #360

Today was xmas day and it has been a very tiring one! We got some really nice presents, mostly money and bits for the house and we ate far, far too much. It's an early night for us as we're off furniture shopping in the sales first thing in the morning. The kitties also seem exhausted by the evening visitors (the boy's family) so we have a nice quiet house for a change.

Xmas Kitties:

Song Of The Day: All traditional xmas songs
Reason: Not a fan of xmas songs, but if I do listen to any I prefer the classics.

Highlight Of The Day: The day in general, but it was nice to see people like what we had bought them.
