Today we painted our kitchen! It's called warm red and looks really nice. It's starting to make it look a bit more like our home now.

Today we had our kitchen refitted. It looks so much nicer and has given us much more storage space, we still don't have a lot of worktop shop which is a shame as it makes the room look smaller. However, our fridge is now neatly tucked away and people can actually sit around the table without it being a complete squash.

So after some measuring up of our kitchen that was fitted wrongly we have discovered that the kitchen units that were ordered are actually correct. In fact, it's the entire kitchen as a room that has been build smaller than stated on the plan. There aren't enough words with similar meaning to the word 'idiot' as I need right now. However, trying to focus on the positives, me and my Dad built our new dining table. It's really nice but everything is a bit of a squash since the fridge is just chilling in the wrong place due to the fact it won't fit in it's designated area thanks to someone's stupid fuck up. Once we're all sorted it will be nice to have people round to eat at it.

Highlight Of The Day: Getting our bins! Sounds like a daft thing, but we can finally clear some of the rubbish out of the way!

Today we made some more furniture purchases! We've chosen our fitted bedroom, bought some curtains for the front room and also bought a long cabinet for the bathroom. I think once our sofas, dining table and fitted wardrobes all turn up it will feel more like our home as at the moment it still feels as though we're in the flat; our stuff is here but our mark isn't on it. We bought a butcher's table for the kitchen a couple of days ago, which I've wanted for ages! It gives us extra space too which is great as in this kitchen it's all about making the most of the space! It does look a lot bigger now I've cleared most of the boxes though.
