Today has been a more relaxed day. I went to the garden centre as I have a voucher to spend. I've got a better idea of which type of plants I want but we need to put soil down first before we buy anything. We had a cake in the garden centre which was lovely!

Today one of the girls from work bought us a cake each which was a very kind surprise! It was the best cake I've eaten in a long time!!!! Lovely. It was a ginger cake from Gregs, which I will definitely be tracking them down again.

Today we tried to introduce Pixie to Asami. Whilst it didn't go terribly wrong or anything like that, I wouldn't say it went well. Pixie just barked from a distance and Asami just hissed and went back inside her drawer. Ah well, we can just keep trying and if it's not meant to be then so be it. This evening we went to my Dad's for tea. We had pulled Cajun pork on buns which was really nice, followed by a super big piece of homemade sponge cake. He'd also made us some homemade bread so I'll be using it for my sandwiches tomorrow. It looks like an overgrown muffin, so can't wait to see what it tastes like.

Today I went to Bents Garden Center with my Mum and Step Dad. I didn't know but it was actually their official opening of the xmas decorations whilst we were there. There was a town crier and a Santa Claus and a super tanned Mrs Claus! I really like Bents at xmas, I love their trees and how nice they look caked full of decorations. I've decided for our first xmas in our apartment that I was an ice blue, white and silver theme. We also stopped in their cafe to get a cake. I had hot chocolate with a slice of coffee cake, which was really nice, but I couldn't finish it it was so rich!

Reason: I've started to listen to Classical FM a lot more whilst I'm driving as I find it relaxing and can help me to develop my creative thoughts a lot further. Plus this features heavily in A Clockwork Orange which is one of my favourite films.

Highlight Of The Day: A good evening at college learning about architectural photography.

Today we took my friend from work and her little daughter to the Walled Garden, along with the boy's sister and her boyfriend.  It was a really nice day, firstly having a cake and coffee then walking round taking photos. After we'd finished my friend's little girl came to our house with us to visit the rats and the geckos. She loved all of them, but in particular 'Caramel' the gecko. I thought I'd say her name was Caramel rather than Carcass as I didn't fancy explaining to a child what a carcass actually was! Afer she'd gone home, I helped the boy's sister and her boyfriend to do their CVs and we had KFC for tea! Overall it was a really nice day but very tiring!

Today was Mum's birthday and my last day in work for the week! It's been a super long week. Tomorrow we're off to Manchester to the museum so that should be good, but think I'm going to have an early(ish) night tonight if I want to stay awake tomorrow.

Today after work I had two visitors! My friends came over for takeaway, from our other friend's families Chinese takeaway, and to hang out. We played along with Take Me Out, ate junk and just had a laugh in general. Was a nice night and better than spending it on my own just monging about! I am also baking another lemon drizzle crunch cake for a meal at my Mum's tomorrow.

Things I Love This Week

Horse Riding - Loving riding (as always) but loving seeing that I've improved since starting at a new riding school. Adore the horses I've been riding, Dennis and Minnie too <3

Steven's Scooter - Glad he's bought a new scooter as the old one is a piece of junk! I curse the day it was bought!

M&S Lemon Drizzle Cake - Not usually a massive fan, but it was pretty nice cake!

Boardwalk Empire - Only watched the first episode but hoping to get involved quickly.

Long Shot Film Festival 2011 - Gutted that I didn't win the audience award with 'Resume' but think it was just the wrong audience and that people failed to see the creative, unusal message. Was good to get my film screening in a room full of people, even if it was terrifying too.

Bents Garden Center - Went over the weekend and was impressed by their christmas displays, also picked up a couple of bargains for when we move out!
