Today we moved the gecko babies and their tanks downstairs into the front room. They were in the study but I felt they were a bit neglected in there, so they've joined the rest of the family in the front! Hopefully the cats won't pester them (or rather the locusts) as much now they'll be shut away from them during the day.

For some reason I'm way more tired that I usually am after work on a Sunday. I only have a short shift tomorrow though, then it's off to Nandos! I also took the photos for our traditional crappy xmas card, it was a nightmare to get the cats to sit still! The rats didn't like the idea that much that we just gave up on having a shot with them in! Even the geckos kept wriggling about. I'll post some outtakes once I've made the card.

So today could be really positive for my future but I won't say more as I don't want to jinx anything! Asami has also been exploring further and has learnt how to jump up on the gecko's tanks. She has to slowly creep around so she can spread her weight around without falling through the mesh! She doesn't actually look at the geckos but she's fascinated with the locust! She has also done a really stinky poop which the boy is currently cleaning up. It's hard to imagine such a smell coming from such a cute animal!

Today we took my friend from work and her little daughter to the Walled Garden, along with the boy's sister and her boyfriend.  It was a really nice day, firstly having a cake and coffee then walking round taking photos. After we'd finished my friend's little girl came to our house with us to visit the rats and the geckos. She loved all of them, but in particular 'Caramel' the gecko. I thought I'd say her name was Caramel rather than Carcass as I didn't fancy explaining to a child what a carcass actually was! Afer she'd gone home, I helped the boy's sister and her boyfriend to do their CVs and we had KFC for tea! Overall it was a really nice day but very tiring!

The pet shop near to us has started stocking reptile cage accessories so I'll probably be spoiling them with some more things for them to climb on/hide under soon!

We've got an insect themed PED today. I'm not usually a fan either way of insects, I don't hate them, but I'm not their number one fan either! However, locusts are the main diet for my precious geckos; they love them! Yummy! I prefer to gut feed the insects that I feed to them to make sure they're all full of good nutrients, especially since the geckos don't eat anything other than insects! Having tried a 'love bug salad' which contained locusts and crickets and also a chocolate covered scorpion whilst in London (I even ate it's sting! Apparently tribal warriors eat them to prove how brave they are, crazy!), I can safely say that I am no insectivore!

Things I Love This Week

Moving In - We have a date! 31st Jan and all checks passed and it's our new home!!

Extension Tubes - Hopefully I'll be able to put them to good use.

Gecko Babies - £75 extra so we can have them move in with us too, worth EVERY penny.

Fridge-Freezer - Most expensive thing I own which isn't technology or clothing! Very nice and will look awesome in our appartment.

Drakan - Old Playstation 2 game I used to love playing. Good times.

Healthy Eating - Trying to eat more fruit and its yummy!

Feeling Better - Seem to keep getting ill at the moment, so glad to feel back to normal today!

Private Practice - Just finished season 4, such a good season!

Gecko Babies - Although I love them every week, Carcass is yawning a lot recently, and its the cutest thing ever. I'm a proud gecko mummy.

Moving On In Life - Its nice to feel that people from the past are still stuck in the same place on repeat and to see that I've totally changed everything and am now better off!

Day Off - And with the boy! Makes a change!!

Xmas Shopping - Being prepared meant I had all mine finished weeks ago! I feel sorry for people who leave it until last minute!! 

Things I Love This Week

Queens Of The Stone Age - Incredible band! One of my all time favourites. I've loved everything they've brought out, including spin offs such as Eagles Of Death Metal and the Desert Sessions. Seeing them years ago at Leeds festival was incredible, very badly want to see them live again!

Beyoncé/Destiny's Child - Encouraging women to be more independent is only a great thing. Beyoncé was awesome at Glastonbury!

Grey's Anatomy - Still addicted...

Fire - Sitting outside with the boyfriend and his family in the evening sat round a fire was very enjoyable.

Gecko Babies - Nearly 3 years since I've had them!

New Riding Boots - Been years since I wore long boots, but they're so comfy considering they're new!
