Today we have been casting for 'These Guys'. We met some good actors and have several potential options already. We've still got at least one, if not two more audition dates to run though!
Casting:
Song Of The Day: The Offspring - Original Prankster
Reason: Awesome summer tune. Love The Offspring and havn't listening to them in far too long. Just need some sunny weather now!
Highlight Of The Day: Meeting some great actors at casting and moving further on with the filming process.
Today was another round of sending out audition invitations for 'These Guys', we've started to get some confirmations for the auditions this weekend so I'm looking forward to that! Today's PED is of our new sign. I love old style signs, posters and the like and I love old medicine and medical practices. This was from a shop at Lady Heys, there was also a taxidermy fox that I really wanted but it was too expensive sadly.
Nerves:
Song Of The Day: Poe - Angry Johnny
Reason: The video is awesome, I love the 90's feel.
Highlight Of The Day: Having positive feedback from the casting calls and having a doughnut at lunch time. Nom!
Today I replied to a ton of casting call applicants. We're now starting to look for pretty much the full cast for 'These Guys' again. It's a long process, but I love it!
Song Of The Day: Marina & The Diamonds - Primadonna
Reason: Wasn't really sure I liked this song at first, but it's really grown on me. I really should download her album.
Highlight Of The Day: Knowing that I have those couple of people that I can talk to and make me feel better.
Just a quick one today as I've been busy and I'm knackered! We've had a meeting for 'These Guys' and we're finally a bit closer to getting filming off the ground. It's also been another really long, slow day in work! I'm almost looking forward to next week when it will be a lot busier!! I am definately looking forward to this weekend off though, my poor feet need a rest! Tomorrow it's my Mum's birthday and today was my step dads, (it's already been my Dad's at the start of the month and it's the boy and his sister's birthdays next week!) so it's been a rather expensive month.
Birthday Wishes:
Song Of The Day: Plan B - Ill Manors
Reason: I love how much of a true statement this song is, super catchy and relevant!
Today I was back at work as usual. Then I had a meeting to run through some technical stuff with the 'These Guy's' crew. I spent the rest of the day sorting out my iTunes (I'm obsessed with organising it). It's really one of my favourite 'indoor' things to do, it makes me feel relaxed to know there's some sort of order to it. Probably a little crazy but keeps me happy so what's the harm?! I've been listening to a whole load of stuff whilst organising, mostly Lana Del Rey, From First To Last, Ed Sheeran, Skrillex and Swedish House Mafia. It still completely blows my mind that Sonny Moore from From First To Last is Skrillex! I have no idea why, I supposed it was because he was one of my teen 'poster boys' and it's strange to think of bands that were predominant earlier in life becoming relevant later in life too. It's like you forget that musicians have a life, grow up and change as well as us.
iTunes:
Song Of The Day: Swedish House Mafia vs Knifeparty - Antidote
Reason: Super danceable
Today we held another production meeting about 'These Guys'. We further discussed shot lists and work flow. It's really starting to come together visually now. Me and the boy also had pancakes as we didn't get a chance the day before. It took me ages to get a photo where the pancake was in the air!
Pancakes:
Song Of The Day: Rotersand - Exterminate Annihilate Destroy
Reason: Just love this song and the Dalek samples!
Today's PED isn't the most exciting photo visually, but is an exciting project! We held our first production meeting for a while for our sitcom 'These Guys', which was productive and will see us taking realistic steps in the right direction with it.
Script:
Song Of The Day: Caro Emerald - That Man
Reason: They've added it to the 'radio' at work, I actually quite like it!
