Today my new Dr Martens came! They're a metallic blue-gray colour and look awesome. They're second hand so theyre already worn in so I can start wearing them for work straight away! Yes! New work pants too!

These Boots Are Made For Working:

Song Of The Day: Lana Del Rey - Lolyta
Reason: Started listening to her First Album, quite different but I'm liking it so far

Today my good friend came round so that we could do some baking. We decided to make fudge for the first time and also giant cookies. The vanilla fudge turned out well, but the chocolate version not so much. The cookies were awesome but one crumbled when we took it off the tray sadly.

Song Of The Day: The Pretty Reckless - Medicine
Reason: If I was a teenage girl, I'd want to be Taylor Momsen

Citi Petts - Love In A Riot

In 2011 we filmed a music video for Liverpool based band Citi Petts. It was to accompany their first single 'Love In A Riot' which is now due to be released on 26th March! I really enjoyed making the video at Crash Studios in Liverpool and think it's turned out really well, I'm also glad that the band like it! I really hope they do well and that people pick up on their music, after hearing 'Love In A Riot' about a million times in a row on the shoot date I can honestly say I didn't get sick of hearing it and I felt like dancing every time. So please support Citi Petts and check out the video!

Today is going to be a long week. I appear to be stuck in a horrible, moping about sort of mood. I expect this is because it's so quiet in work compared to last week and the mundane tone of every day life has strongly kicked back in. However, I made spaghetti bolognese from scratch, not a major achievement but hey, gotta find the positives somewhere!

Apple For Teacher:

Song Of The Day: Tinie Tempah - Pass Out
Reason: Easily some of the best lyrics coming from 'new' music at the moment.

Today we opened the apple juice we'd got from the Grappenhall Heys walled garden. My grandad is the chairman so we go regularly to support him, but also because their cakes are really nice and super cheap! (two pieces of cake and two cans of coke for £3?!) They grow their own fruit and veg and sell it at the weekends, so we bought some of their own homemade apple juice. It's soooo nice, a lot more appley than supermarket bought juice. Yummy.

Song Of The Day: Lesley Roy - Crushed
Reason: So soulful and heartfelt

We had visitors for tea so got to use the string of birdcage lights that I got from work during mega week. They look really cute and create some interesting shadows! Plus I'm obsessed with birdcages! They're awesome.

Song Of The Day: Tinie Tempah & Ellie Goulding - Wonderman
Reason: Really good song, not hearded it in ages.

Today I finally got round to photographing the flat. It's nice to be able to show people who haven't come round yet. I went shopping in Altrincham today. I love driving through Altrincham as some of the houses are amazing, we drove past one which was abandoned and being solded for renovation which I would have love to have gone looking around in! Whilst in Altrincham, I got the most awesome clock - it's 'melted'! Very Alice In Wonderland, which is sending me on the hunt for more Alice inspired homewares. I've seen some nice cushions which I think will be next on the list!

Melt Into Wonderland:

Song Of The Day: Lana Del Rey - Blue Jeans
Reason: Just a stunning tone and style to the song! Love it!

Today's PED is a bit on the experimental side. I basically, just completely by accident, took a photo of what has turned out as dark circles, but I thought it looked cool enough to share. I had been taking photos of a safety pin but must have clicked again by mistake.

Black Hole Sun:

Song Of The Day: David Guetta & Snoop Dog - Sweat
Reason: Pretty good song, but stuck in my head this evening!
