Dogs Trust Sponsor A Dog - Lexi

Whilst we were at HOYS yesterday we signed up to the sponsor a dog scheme run by the Dogs Trust charity organisation. They take in stray and unwanted dogs and try to rehome them. They also never put healthy dogs down just because they don't have the space or resources which is great. I think it's really important to invest a small donation as regular as possible into charities such as this because animals can be treated so cruelly by heartless people which is never their fault. They don't deserve to be treated badly and I'd be heartbroken if anyone abused or mistreated my animals. So whilst I can't adopt every animal going like I would like to, we've chosen to adopt Lexi, a dalmation-labrador cross and give £9 a month towards his keep. He lives in Liverpool and we can actually go visit him! So I definitely want to do that at some point and take him a toy and some treats. I will also be making sure I keep you updated when he sends me his updates and making sure I stick to my Charity Of The Month blog posts as they really could make a difference, even if one person donates a couple of pounds to a cause.

Today I went for a meeting about working on a short comedy horror film, the script sounds really good and I can't wait to start shooting! Whilst in Manchester, I also went to the Slipknot photo exhibit by Paul Harris at the Manchester Photographic Gallery. It has really enforced how much I adore Slipknot and they are still my ultimate favourite band! I picked up a signed photo book too! We also went into Liverpool to Jamie's Italian. It was actually bad this time, super poor and slow service, uncooked seafood in my dinner and it just generally had an unpleasant after taste. I've really been put off and won't be going again.

Citi Petts - Love In A Riot

In 2011 we filmed a music video for Liverpool based band Citi Petts. It was to accompany their first single 'Love In A Riot' which is now due to be released on 26th March! I really enjoyed making the video at Crash Studios in Liverpool and think it's turned out really well, I'm also glad that the band like it! I really hope they do well and that people pick up on their music, after hearing 'Love In A Riot' about a million times in a row on the shoot date I can honestly say I didn't get sick of hearing it and I felt like dancing every time. Today I went shopping in Liverpool. I bought a nice vintage bleach denim jacket and a confectionary thermometer which I'm hoping to use so that I can experiment making fudge, caramel etc!
We had lunch in Jamie's Italian and it was really good food. Me & my mum shared crispy squid for starters and then I had a prawn linguine and she had a seafood risotto and we shared some garlic chips. It was super food, especially the squid, good service, a nice layout and I would recommend going if you get the chance.
