Photo Every Day #86

Today we went to Adam Henson's Cotswold's Farm Park. The boy has NEVER been to a farm! Crazy! So I wanted to take him, especially since we were in the midst of lambing season. It was really cold but nice to see, feed, stroke and hold the animals! We even saw a chick that had literally hatched 2 minutes before we looked in the incubator! We got to feed goats and sheep, as well as seeing all the pregnant ewes and the ones who'd recently given birth, along with their babies. We got to stroke piglets, lambs, kids (baby goats, not human children!), quails, ducklings, chicks, guinea pigs and bunnies. I am seriously wanting some chickens now though!!

Today we came back home from our holiday. We called at Stratford on the way back to do a bit of shopping; we saw Shakespeare's birth place and stocked up at the sweet shop! When we got home I was super glad to see my kitty cats and they seemed pleased to see us. There's nothing like sleeping in your own bed with your beautiful kitties to demand attention at 5am!

Song Of The Day: Kansas State Song - Home On The Range
Reason: Such a classic song, I'm sure I remember a Disney film where a cow sings it!

Highlight Of The Day: Coming home feeling well rested!

Inspiration Of The Day: Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe, it's full of retro goodness and proper sweets!!

Photo Every Day #85

Today we went shopping at Bicester Village shopping outlet. It has outlet stores for big designers so it was much more upmarket than Cheshire Oaks, which is the nearest outlet village to us. It was awesome looking around the big designers stuff, most of it was still a bit of a rip off for items that weren't that nice, but there was loads that was super nice! We also had a walk around Oxford. We saw some of the old university buildings but I didn't think that the town itself was actually that nice which was a shame.

Today we went to the Cotswolds Wildlife Park and Gardens. It was a really nice little zoo, you could get super close to the animals - we were very tempted to steal a penguin!! The highlight was definitely seeing the Canadian Timber Wolves. They were so beautiful and all started howling in unison which was incredible to watch! Videos of that to be posted once I'm back!

Photo Every Day #83

Today was super cold! It hasn't snowed again but it was very chilly. We walked around Broadway and Stow On The Wold. It had loads of cute shops and antique places. We found an old, battered taxidermy stag head which we contemplated buying but settled for a Victorian servants bell that were going to use as our door bell at home. Tomorrow we should be going to a small zoo as the weather is supposed to be a lot better. Today's PED is an antique portrait of a Pixie!

I'll only be posting short posts as I'm away on holiday in the Cotswolds. I'll post a big blog entry with all the photos etc when I'm back! Today we went to the motor museum, it was full of vintage cars, old motor signs and motoring nik naks.
