Tech Hunt: Behind The Scenes

As you know, I have been working on a film called Tech Hunt with the director/producer/crew that created Sophie's Fortune. I thought Sophie's Fortune would turn out fantastic, but I believe that Tech Hunt will be pure brilliance! The production sees Genesis Flux Productions, Divided Productions and Atkinson Action Horses collaborating their talents to produce a cinematic short film with no budget!

Tech Hunt is a film set in a post-apocalyptic era where only a small amount of technology remains. The hunt is on to find it!

You can check out the website and facebook page here. Feel free to spread the word! It will be incredible!

Photo Every Day #197

Today was the last day of the filming of Sophie's Fortune. I had a good time and the weather was lovely again. The children have been great all weekend and were a pleasure to be around. I'm not exhausted and back to work tomorrow sadly. It's definately inspired me to make sure I find motivated, hard working people to work with again in the future as it's amazing to be in a creative enviroment.

Photo Every Day #196

Just a quick one today as it's been a super long day and I need to get to sleep! I've been a runner again on the set of Sophie's Fortune. The weather held out all day which was a good start. They were filming a birthday party scene with around twenty five 6-9 year olds! I was supervising the snacks and drinks table, handing out whatever the kids wanted in rationed portions and filling them with sugar. They were surprisingly well behaved, especially after all the excitement and E numbers.
This is a sneek peak of some of the action on set.

Sophie's Fortune:

Song Of The Day: Marina & The Diamonds - I Am Not A Robot
Reason: Just loving Marina at the moment and am dying to sit and listen to her new album!

Highlight Of The Day: A rather nice ice cream!

Photo Every Day #176

Today I was on the set of Sophie's Fortune. I'd been offered the role of runner by the producer who I'd met before on the set of Darktown Jubliee's Breakdown music video. I was really happy to be offered the role, especially as he contacted me as I was unaware that they were looking for runners! I will hopefully be taking up the runner role again next weekend for them. The film itself is about a group of dad's who go on a treasure hunt as part of a child's birthday party, but they get carried away and adopt 'hero' personas. It's a fantasy, action-adventure type film and even though I usually avoid action films, it really does look like it will be a great short. Most of my tasks included driving actors and crew to locations, carrying gear to the locations, speaking to members of the public who came across our production (most of them were excited to see men with guns running around!) and generally lending a hand where it was needed. Luckily for most of the day the weather was nice and the location was awesome! It really suited the story and the actors looked great in their costumes too. Everyone on set was really friendly and hardworking, so it was a nice atmosphere.

Photo Every Day #175

Just a quick post this evening as I have to get to sleep asap as I'm getting up at 5am to get ready for a full day of shooting for a film called 'Sophie's Fortune', very exciting! Today we had rehearsals for 'Boom In Shot' which gave me a chance to meet the cast. Everyone seemed really nice and the rehearsals went really well, so I'm really excited to get stuck in and help with the set building on Monday and get started shooting on Tuesday.

Song Of The Day: Ed Sheeran - Drunk
Reason: Was listening to the live performance from the Hackney Weekend in the car, he's perfect singing live and sounds exactly like on pre-recorded stuff.  Impressive

Highlight Of The Day: Great rehearsal session
